Weekend Vikings, is the cool name we chose for the room you, as our guests, will be staying in in our spacious home we call "The Manse". Our home has a warm, relaxed and friendly feel to it. I guess that homes do reflect their owners' personalities! At Weekend Vikings, we strive to always make you feel at home. You will have access to come and go as you please. Guests can enjoy time on a roofed patio, screened off for their own use to leisure, to use as a smoking area if applicable and enjoy the view on our pretty garden. The use of the built-in braai (barbeque), is at guests disposal and we provide cutlery and crockery for guests to enjoy a braai if they'd wish. Access to wifi is free of charge and in your room you will be able to watch Netflix on the flat screen TV, while the ceiling fan keeps you cool in summer. The room has a small fridge and coffee station and there is ample closet space. This will be your home from home during your stay.

Dalene and I are both relaxed and friendly people. We love meeting new people, welcoming guests and strive to make every stay a pleasant, comfortable and relaxed experience for all our guests. We are present on the property if guests should need anything, but we respect our guests' privacy to enjoy their time as they choose. We host because we love people. People matter and we do not care if you are young or old, gay or straight, male or female, black or white or any colour in between - as your hosts we shall always show you the respect all people deserve. We are always available for inquiries prior to your stay - message or phone - and during your stay to assist where we can. We love cooking! Look forward to some scrumptious breakfasts during your stay. We aim to please! Be comfortable, feel at home and enjoy what we as hosts have to offer you at Weekend Vikings.

We are located in the area in Port Shepstone called "Beachfront Area". We are close to the ocean and some really cool bathing beaches are all in close proximity, from Umtentweni Beach to the north and St. Michaels, Uvongo and Margate Beaches to the south of us. The Port Shepstone Lighthouse, a national monument, is located close to our home. Several good restaurants, catering for all tastes are in close proximity. We are located within walking distance from two supermarkets, and fast food outlets such as KFC, Steers, Deboniars. etc. About a 45 minute drive, and you will find the Lake Eland Game Reserve, offering game drives and adventure sports including a Zip-Line reaching speeds up to 160 km/h. Lots to do in our Ugu Area. The property is secure with fencing all around an an outside alarm system which is switched on from dusk to dawn, protecting the parameters.
