This is my piece of paradise—a remote, off-grid retreat where I go to unwind. The nearest shop is 40 km away, but thanks to a nearby mountain peak tower, there’s limited Wi-Fi access. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, this is your home away from home. Here, you’ll hear only birds and the sounds of nature. No noise or loud behaviour will be tolerated at the house, river and anywhere else on the property. This is not a place for parties, drinking and loud music. At night, the Milky Way stretches across the sky in stunning clarity, offering a level of peace and quiet that’s truly rare. This home is fully off-grid: power is provided by a solar inverter with battery storage, heating is powered by gas, and fresh water comes from a nearby natural source, filtered directly at the house. The heart of the home is the "stoep"—a covered balcony with breathtaking views over the river and mountains, just as shown in the picture.
