Simoonga guest house l is a unique location near the beautiful town of Livingstone and the famous Victoria Falls. At the property you will stay in a traditional, simple bungalow, with a single or double bed. We have a shared bathroom and kitchen, campfire area and garden for you to use during your stay. What makes the property unique is that it is also home to a school. The school provides free education to kids in need. During your stay you're free to do some volunteering if you like, or just interact with the kids. We can also help you organize different activities, like visiting the Victoria Falls, going on a safari, going on an island tour or visiting the traditional Simoonga Village. We would love to welcome you to our beautiful school!
Hello! My name is Edwin. In 2013 I started the school to help the children in my village. I build a small structure, which has now grown to be the Thandizani Trust School, and gives education to almost 350 children. I've been married for almost eleven years and have four children. We all live in the house next to the school, so in case there is any requests i can surely attend.
The property is close to Zambia's main tourist attractions and tourist capital, Livingstone. The National Park Mosi-oa-Tunya is 15 minutes away Here you can spot great wildlife, including the rare white rhino. The entrance of the Victoria Falls, the largest waterfall in the world, is 26 km away. The property is located in the village of Simoonga. Here you can enjoy the friendliness of locals, explore the local market, attend to a traditional church, enjoy the children´s company and visit the Zambezi River which is within walkable distance. If you are interested in biology, childcare, wildlife, culture exchange... We are willing to make this experience one of a kind.
