Came here as a solo traveller and it’s was perfect, room was nice and clean with a lake view and balcony giving a stunning view of the lake. The breakfast that was was good and the hotel was very peaceful away from the busy streets of Hallstatt.

This place really exceeded my expectations The rooms were clean and quite spacious. The stairs were a bit creeky, but for me added to the experience of staying at a 150 year old hotel. Staff were really nice! Strongly recommend to solo travelers who are used to shared bathrooms!

I chose this accommodation, because it was more or less close to the Ramsau ski center, within walking distance, but if you are lazy, there is a bus stop just next to the hotel. The host is amiable and helpful, very warm welcome and problem-solving. Fantastic breakfast! I did to have a chance to stay long in the room, but when I finally got to it, it was calm, and warm, with the hot water.

The family Grampelhuber were wonderful hosts. Mom, Dad, two sons, two daughter (in law), and two grandchildren, along with a fine and attentive staff. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was outstanding. Music filled the house. We will long look on our Austrian visit to Bad Goisern and Steegwirt fondly.
