During the summer, it was nice to have a fan in the room. We had a great dinner on one night. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Everything was immaculate. When we arrived after a long, rainy day on the road, we were so pleased to be able to have dinner in the Gastrube instead of driving elsewhere. The food was prepared by a chef that loves to cook. The taste and presentation were both phenomenal! It was such an unexpected treat. It is a great location in the peaceful countryside but with easy access to Appenzell and all of the nearby lifts. Breakfast is included, and a lovely restaurant offers delicious meals.
