This hostel is retrofitted from a very old style hotel and is conveniently located in the center of the old town area. The restaurants and shopping places are quite walkable and at night it's quiet. The previous reviews said that although the price is very affordable but everything else that you might need is at an extra cost, which is not true in 2022, because they offer towels, hair dryer, almost unlimited bottled water and even instant noodles -- for free. If you are able to deal with them via online apps then this place is the best place for budget travellers. I stayed in a single room for two nights and it's big and clean, also hot water abundant.

The staff was really kind, the room spacious and had everything needed. It was also very clean and the close location to hualien train station is another great advantage.

The room was quite big and impressive. The hotel staff was very helpful. They offer free bicycles also, if anyone wants to roam around.

Very patient and accomodating staff and management, doing everything they can to leave you a good impression of Taiwan! Replenished supplies without even being asked. Refunded me one night without any problem after I unexpectedly had to leave a day early. I would like to stay here again when I return to Hualien in the summer!

Amazing location only a few minutes away from the taroko visitor center. A few eateries and 7eleven around. Spacious rooms. If you are travelling alone and without your own means of transport, this is a very good and convenient place to stay at.
