We absolutely loved our stay! Celmira and her family were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed and were safe when we went on excursions (nearby town with Thermal water and little bars and shops (30min walking), and a waterfall (1,5h walking). The food was incredible, we're still talking about it haha. Super chill area, not much to do but relax and enjoy the moment. Stayed for 3 nights which was the perfect length. The property is really small, we were the only guests, which was nice after a few weeks of travelling. Loved the down-to-earth vibe with bucket showers and honest conversations with the hosts.

Martin and his mother were so kind with us. We want to come.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in El Valle, entirely thanks to Alejandro, who could not have been kinder to us. We received the warmest of welcomes and were so well looked after from the second we arrived until the moment we left when he arranged our taxi and walked us down the beach to it! His house is absolutely amazing - beautiful and so comfortable with everything you need - and in a stunning location, right on the beach. You can sit on the deck (or lie in the hammock), watch the tide come and go, see crabs, lizards, birds (including hummingbirds!), butterflies and even basilisks We were so grateful to him for all his advice re. tours and arranging them all for us - we went snorkelling at playa blanca and two other beaches and saw a huge variety of beautiful fish (and a sea snake!) and went on a night boat ride / hike where we saw frogs (big and tiny), luminescent fungi and scorpions, caiman, bats and incredibly, a snake catching prey! Our whole stay was absolutely exceptional, and it is all because Alejandro is absolutely exceptional. We left feeling very humbled by his warmth, generosity and kindness and grateful to have met such a wonderful person who opened his home and way of life to us. Thank you so much again for everything - already looking forward to returning one day!

José Celestino Mutis Airport is 15 km away. This places was a dream for us. We were a family of 5 and Lorena and Janeth (the owners) are super customer focus and kindly let us stayed in 2 of the big rooms available as one of us was really sick and required a private bathroom for himself. They are EXTREMELY accommodating and the location of the place couldn’t be better. It’s hard to find a place with both beach access and close enough to the main town but far enough for you not to have the music of the parties going on at 3am. Lorena made us feel so welcomed and was consistently making sure we were fine and that our stay was a pleasant one. There was a kitchen behind the rooms that we could use, there is free filtered watered for all guests and they even provide a beach umbrella and beach chairs for you to chill at the beach which is just in front of the hotel. The ladies made sure each day the rooms were cleaned and they maintain the premises as clean as possible. We loved our trip to el Valle, but what made the experience unforgettable was hitting the jackpot with this accommodation .. WE LOVED IT

A hidden gem in the middle of la selva—full of hummingbirds, crabs, butterflies, and the most amazing trees and plants. Every hour brings a different kind of beauty, and I especially loved the moments when it rained, and right after. The place is isolated; to reach the village you need to cross two rivers, always checking the tide. I stayed 6 nights in the shared bedroom, with the bathroom outside, and it truly felt like a jungle experience. What made it even more special were Valentina and Carlos—so thoughtful, welcoming, and genuinely lovely hosts. And for me personally, La Aldea became the place where I found myself doing things I never imagined—like crossing the rivers at night alone. So I definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a unique Pacific experience.
