Offering views of the Sierra, Mundo Nuevo ECO LODGE (2.2 km and 400 meters uphill Minca) is set in an organic farm with a vegetarian restaurant (one menu) with mainly dishes with fruits and vegetable from the farm. I highly recommend the Mundo Nuevo. It exceeded my expectations. The location is simply stunning - with views all over Minca all the way to Santa Marta and at night you can see the lights of Baranquilla. At breakfast I was surrounded by hummingbirds and I saw Tucans nearby. The whole property is well kept and has a beautiful layout. The large common area makes it very sociable and it was very easy to interact with other guests. It is also very clean - the pool got cleaned every morning and the staff constantly cleans the common areas. What I personally really appreciated was the attention to detail: All three meals get cooked completely fresh in the kitchen and you can watch the whole process - they even bake their own bread and arepas and make all the salsas themselves - in a quality I really didn’t expect from a “hostel”. The coffee is from their own beans, the “Nutella” freshly made from their own chocolate. When I asked if I could get a second slice from the lasagna - they gave me one without hesitation (all at our table asked for a second slice because it was so good). These Details (including the very friendly team from the lodge) are something much pricier hotels could learn from. All in all I could completely relax and was seriously contemplating to extend my stay.

Guests at the inn can enjoy an American breakfast. Really beautiful small Kogui huts inside Tayrona park. Great Spot if you want to explore Tayrona for more than a day-trip. Approx. 50 mins from the main entrance if you Walk all the way and carry larger backpacks (25 min main road + 25 min dirt road and stairs!!) The houses themselves are pretty small but have everything you need for a few nights. The team is really nice, can tell you something about the park and offer dinner with vegetarian options. The huts only have cold water for showers and the main House was one of the few points with cell reception for me, which is really helpful! Approx 50 mins from the hotel to the nearest beach (la piscinita) with the busses and to short walks!

Guests at the inn will be able to enjoy activities in and around Santa Marta, like hiking. First of all: This place does exist! I wasn't super confident until we arrived since I could only find evidence of it on Booking, but it is real! Absolutely beautiful location. Feels very special and Naydu and Ivan made sure we had everything we needed to really enjoy our time there. The food is GREAT (eat every meal at Mirador and NOT down by the beach where it is bad, more expensive, and most likely gave me food poisoning). I sadly came down with food poisoning before I could eat anything at the restaurant (I was already vomiting before I ate or drank anything here). I sadly had to sit and watch my boyfriend eat his amazing-looking food while I just drank lots of water and juice. We brought our own snorkeling gear, but there is a place to rent them at the beach as well. Being able to walk down to the beach and snorkel through the reefs was amazing. Beautiful water with great visibility. When I felt better the second night we went out on a sunset boat ride and snorkel with Ivan and Naydu and it was a great way to really take in the location. I think this place attracts people with a sense of adventure and we joined together for dinner one night with the other people staying (either in tents or the other room) and had a wonderful time learning about other cultures and their travel adventures.

Location next to the river was heaven and only the sounds of nature through the night

A wonderful home-away-from-home experience. Cristina is such a wonderful soul and amazing host, she made us feel welcome from the start, a huge highlight being her home cooked meals and exceptional guest service. The cabin is cozy, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a secluded getaway.

At the accommodation rooms come with a seating area. Very clean room, great, friendly staff (we had to leave at 6:30am so she prepared breakfast for is at 6am already), convenient location.
