It was amazing! We were so impressed of this outstanding place! Perfect breakfast, very nice and clean room (we had the Deluxe Room), with an impressing balcony including sea view, so friendly personnel, great pools and a huge selection of many activities. This place leaves nothing to be desired. Our future hotels will be struggle about keeping up with this one ;-)

The location of this place is EPIC! Stunning views being secluded in the hills in Santa Elena! Where do I start with the food?? Wow! It’s brought up the hill daily fresh from a farm below then prepared on site! Super fresh and delicious! You are in for a real treat with the food! Chris is awesome!

What an exceptional pleasant surprise! From checking in till checking out. Our villas/units were fantastic. Serviced every day by the most friendly housekeeping staff and the villas are very well equipped. Front of house staff - Aáron, was super helpful and professional. Swimming pools and gardens look and feel like paradise. It is safe and very close to the beach. I can absolutely recommend Villa Verdes. Will definitely visit Sámara and this establishment again. Everything absolutely shined! Super friendly, warm and welcoming people, especially Micaela, who is amazing. Excellent breakfast buffet with wonderful staff, the pool was fabulous, the room was extremely comfortable, clean and modern. We loved the touch of little flowers in rhe room. The grounds are gorgeous, lush and green. Five blocks to the beach and some nice restaurants. Worth a quick car drive to Playa Carrillos, which is super clean: just palm trees, sand and ocean! Great stay and an excellent value!

We loved the stay here! The hosts were so nice & helped us with lots of recommendations! We had bad luck with the weather but it was so nice because we could stay in the whirlpool many hours :) really clean and big room. You need the car though, if you want to go to Samara, but its only 4 minutes or something so totally ok. Also safe, because the main entrance was locked. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved this lodge. The moment we arrived to Samara, Denis reached out and explained how to get there. Waze works best in Costa Rica. Also if you rent the car, make sure to rent a higher one because some roads are pretty bumpy and you would need to push it. But it’s normal there. Once we arrived, they met us by the entry with warm hello, showed us our place, greeted and let us be. Breakfast was delicious and very thoughtful, based on our needs. Denis was so helpful. He answered all our questions, always within minutes replies to my messages. He also recommended bunch of places. Our lodge was clean and replenished daily. The view is great, private. Overall amazing stay! Highly recommend. Lovely owners! Thank you guys!!!!!!

The breakfast was really generous and delicious, including lots of fresh local fruit. I have a gluten intolerance and Tommy was so accommodating, he even got his friend Olga to come over and make corn tortillas some mornings! My room was lovely and big, and there was high pressure in the shower. The communal kitchen has everything you need, and everywhere was really clean. The pool is great for cooling off. The outdoor dining area is relaxed and sociable, and Tommy was always about, with a very calm, kind presence, to answer any questions or requests. There's a really chill atmosphere. The perfect music is always playing softly in the background. It takes a minute to walk to the beach (I could hear the waves from my room at night) and it is a peaceful 20 minute walk along the beach to the centre of Samara. There's a local restaurant and supermarket about 300 metres from the accommodation. It's the perfect location for relaxing while enjoying Samara. I was very unwell towards the end of my stay, and Tommy and Olga were so kind, the level of kindness that restores faith in humanity. They were incredibly caring and really went over and above to help me. Needless to say I would highly recommend a stay here. Thank you so much Tommy!
