The property is beautiful romantic retreat away. The views are amazing. The hot tub is the cherry on the cake. They think of every little detail even down to marshmallows and extras for a luxury hot chocolate the bed is so comfy we really enjoyed are stay even arriving late at night after a long flight they was really understanding Thankyou ❤️❤️

we loved everything. the parking was such a bonus. the terrace and the entire ambience of the hotel was beautiful. our room was gorgeous - we loved the king bed with its amazing topper and had the best night’s sleep. the complimentary gin - so beautifully presented - was a lovely touch. dinner was great. a real stand out for me was breakfast and one of the female staff - Laura I think - who was so helpful when I asked about gluten free options. she really went out of her way for me and provided me with some lovely options. we will definitely recommend friends and definitely be back next time we are in England. the staff were all incredibly helpful and pleasant. there is nothing we would have changed :)

Amazing location as you're close to alot of tourist locations and shops but far enough away to switch off and have peace and tranquility listening to the birds and watching the sheep whilst reading a book and enjoying a drink of your choice. The hut itself is well laid out and maximizes the internal dimensions of said hut with a super comfy bed, great kitchen facilities and well laid out bathroom with a reasonably sized shower with great pressure and hot as you like water. The hot tub was an added bonus to relax after a long day of walking. We met one of the hosts on arrival and was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome and came across very approachable if we was to have any queries or questions during our stay (which we didn't). Whether you're looking for an isolated location away from typical coastal hotels/b&bs with great access to beaches/costal towns or somewhere to relax and switch off after long walks along the south west coastal paths or Dartmoor national park then this place is a must. My only regret is not asking one of the hosts if there was availability for 3rd night before leaving. Me, my wife & dog will definitely be returning.

Beautiful lodge in a little town, was perfect for a weekend getaway but I would recommend staying longer! Rooms and ensuites were clean and the staff were very nice and accomodating. They offer packed lunches if you plan to go for a long walk one day. There are heaps of walks to do in the area.
