This has to be one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had (and I have been lucky enough to stay at some pretty amazing hotels). The quality of everything from the kind and helpful staff to the luxurious amenities, delicious food and great little freebies…I was blown away. We were made to feel so special, they have really thought of everything here. It’s in the most beautiful location and slightly more temperate than some of the more touristy areas - it was amazing to escape the hustle and bustle to come to this oasis. I cannot recommend this place enough. PS: Do yourself a favour and book the tasting menu at their restaurant!

Munduk is known in Bali for its fabulous views and mountain climate. Munduk Cabins is a masterpiece of design integrated with nature there. Chic interiors, clean, and all devils in details. It was the most incredible in-room mini bar I have ever met. The restaurant works tasty and healthy. The hot tub was the best place to meditate under the rain.

The pool was beautiful - super clean! Everything about the Alamanda was 5 STAR!! Everything was perfect - no other words to describe it! Free shuttle bus to the town is a great idea, just WhatsApp when you want to come back as it’s located in a rural area, but the rural area also gives it the most peaceful and tranquil environment for the ideal chill getaway from the busy spots in Bali!

A haven of peace, full of charm, to discover absolutely in the north of Bali, perched in the mountain, 20 minutes above Lovina. If you are looking for a little freshness in a suspended, intimate place, then this place is for you. The owners, a mixed Indo/English couple, have put their heart into it and have managed to unite the whole village, which supports them in this adventure. Moreover, all the staff are local. Most of them are former cruise employees, who returned to the village during the pandemic and never left. They are therefore all already trained in tourism and many of them speak perfect English. Not far from the establishment, they have, on dozens of ares, their own organic vegetable garden. You can go there and harvest your own vegetables, and during a cooking class cook them, to finally taste the dishes that you have prepared. Each room is a typical Gladak house, in wood, built with a "modern" style, well decorated. The bedding and pillows are a pure invitation to soft and restful nights. If you like to wake up early, then you will have the chance to see beautiful sunrises, and if you are lucky, like we were, then you will be facing a beautiful show: complete rainbow going from the mountain until the top of one of the Java volcano, over passing the palm trees. The sunsets are also amazing in this area. The food, cooked by a local chef, is quite good. Thanks to all staff for their absolutely professional and their great welcome.

The compound is huge with a beautiful pool, adequate parking and outdoor seating. The master bedroom (the only one we used) was spacious with an huge TV and comfortable bed. Interactions with the property were easy via WhatsApp and they were very responsive. The area has multiple places to eat and drink.

Wonderful stay here in Munduk. The staff is amazingly friendly and the food in the DonBiyu Restaurant, which belongs to the guest house, delicious. The room is clean, has a wonderful view and a mosquitoe net. The staff organized a very informative hike with a local guide through local farms and waterfalls (4h, 400k incl. Entrance fees to 3 waterfalls). Thanks for everything!
