The apartment was spacious and beautifully designed - apparently one of the owners is a well known interior designer and she has demonstrated her talents with these apartments. Lots of additional touches such as bathrobes, extra towels and flip flops for the hot tubs and steam room. We stayed in some lovely hotels in Iceland but this was the best value and extremely comfortable.

Beautiful cottage with all the extra little amenities that make the stay feel like a special retreat, we enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna. Great location, as well, very quiet and peaceful. It was an easy drive from the airport and then we spent time hiking to the hot river, visiting the national park & Kerid crater. Easy access to a grocery store and able to cook a meal easily with the kitchen supplies and spices on hand. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

The hotel is cosy and clean with a great resturant in which you can taste local specialities. The location is quite. It provides free tea, coffee and cockies in a common area. The view is amazing. Friendly for hourse riders.

The hotel is high class with a good location and delicious local food. Rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with a kettle. There is a swimmingpool and hot tubes available. The location is great with less than 40 mins to Reykjavik and 1.30 hr to the airport.

We intended to be here for one night and ended up staying for two because we loved the hotel and the area so much. Fabulously comfortable rooms with lovely beds, heated floors, geothermal pool in the back yard and lovely breakfast. Near wonderful restaurants and on the Golden Circle route. Both nights we were here we were blessed with spectacular visitations by the Northern Lights. Can’t recommend enough!!!

It’s a perfect base for exploring the golden circle and the south coast. There is only 4.3 mi to Hveragerdi and Selfoss, cities with a wide range of shops and restaurants.

The hot tubs were a great bonus. They upgraded us for free to have a private bathroom. It was warm, cozy, and clean. This was our favourite stop on our week long journey.

The cottages are beautifully isolated - perfect for Aurora hunting. The hot tub was lovely. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room to sit around the dining table. The owner was helpful on arrival. I just wish we had time to pop up to the hotel to use the bar. Parking right next to the cottage was useful. The nearest supermarket and food hall were at the end of the road so easily accessible (by car). We loved Nupar Cottages and would definitely stay again!
