ONE OF A KIND HOSTS IN JEWEL OF A GUEST The hospitality and kindness of Donatella and Raphael has no limit. Every need of guests are handled with ease, special requests quickly satisfied. All of it comes so naturally to these consummate hosts. A ride to the train station, suggestion for a wine tour, a recommendation for a special restaurant made our stay a memorable experience. These are truly beautiful people who provide a memories not just a room for sleeping. Five star service! The historic guest house is as special as are the hosts. Every sleeping room, the lobby, sitting and breakfast rooms are appointed with wonderfully presented antiques. Bistro tables in the garden are an outdoor alternative for enjoying Donatella’s breakfast pastries prepared daily. A trained pastry chef her delights call for second helpings. Walking in the gardens cause guests to decompress. This is a peaceful and unrushed retreat located within steps of Chiusi’s primary attractions. Sarteano is a perfect base to explore Tuscany, the historic centre is picture perfect with several good local restaurants within walking distance. The palazzo is beautiful. We stayed here as a family of 4 in the green room. Everything was perfect, comfortable beds, good strong shower, clean. Breakfast was a real treat, with homemade croissants, cakes, biscuits, jam, eggs etc. Chiara, the owner is warm and friendly. We would love to visit again.

We had a lovely welcome from Katia, who speaks great English and was always helpful. The hotel is a charming building, with just a few rooms and a very personal welcome. The bed and room was very comfortable, we had a balcony with a view out to the hills. The breakfast featured home made cakes. The walled town of Citta is a short walk away and has very well cared for ancient buildings with history, art, some great restaurants and independent shops (and not too many tourists). The location is close to the beautiful Lake Trasimeno and its attractive towns and boat trips

We stayed here as a family of 5 plus another couple. The accommodation was perfect for our group!! Beautiful decor, super clean with lovely views over the olive grove! The host was very friendly and even took us down to visit the chickens where the kids could have a hold. The welcome wine/ treats were a nice surprise too!Great value for money and in an amazing location, only a 5 minute drive into the nearby village (which is stunning, great shops/restaurants)! We only stayed 1 x night but wished we stayed longer!!!

We stayed here for a week with our two grown up children and what a lovely time we had. Our two bed, two bathroom apartment (Isola Polvese )was spotlessly clean offering good quality air con in both bedrooms and the living area ( this deserves a 10/10 alone .)There was a lovely terrace with plenty of shade and wonderful views. We had the use of two swimming pools which were never very busy ( assumed other guests, like ourselves were sightseeing much of the day.) The perfect accommodation for visiting local hilltop villages and towns. You must take a walk into the local village of Paciano. Also take the short drive to the stunning little hill top town of Panicale with its views, restaurants and action packed square. We toured around the wonderful lake Trasimeno and spent a day or two on its swimming beaches and just relaxing with the locals . Highly recommend this area as it’s so beautiful and quiet .
