Great location, great rooms, and an amazing view from the balcony just across from the ocean. Hashan and the staff at Hotel Sanmark were such great people and were inctedibly helpful all the way from when I landed in Sri Lanka to when I left, organising airport pick up and drop off, scooter rental, and even a home-cooked meal. I had a great time - thanks so much Hashan and the team!

Best accomodation we had in Sri Lanka. Clean, spacious and safe rooms with a lot of privacy, mosquito nets, AC and a big balkony. Great service and breakfast. The pool is also perfectly clean and big enough to swim. You can easily walk to Ahangama, park a tuktuk and enjoy the ocean. The secret beach is about 700m away, which is amazing for swimming and relaxing. A lot of amazing restaurants and shops are in the area. A lot of peacocks live in the area and they might say hello to you on your balkony. We also saw a group of monkeys in the morning.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful accommodation and it was an absolute joy. The high-speed internet access was a godsend, ensuring I could stay connected and manage my work with ease. The kitchen facilities were well-equipped, allowing me the freedom to prepare my meals just the way I like. An added convenience was the laundry facility, which was particularly useful during my extended stay. One of the highlights was the property’s proximity to the lake, offering stunning views and a sense of tranquility that is hard to find. What made our stay truly special, however, was the lovely couple who own the place. Their warm hospitality and friendly demeanor added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. Their local tips and knowledge were invaluable in making the most of our stay. Very good hotel in beautiful surroundings. The staff is very friendly, I had a nice room with a good size bathroom, though next time I will book a larger room, and pay a little more, it is still cheap. The pool area is very nice, the location is great, a very beautiful calm and quiet place to relax.
