Janaka is THE host—truly exceptional in the hospitality scene in Sri Lanka. He is incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel completely at home, while also being highly professional and attentive to all our needs. He went out of his way to help us plan our days in Mihintale exactly as we wished—and what he managed to organize for us was no small feat! He was also genuinely concerned for our safety throughout our stay: while Sri Lanka is a very safe country, his attentiveness was still much appreciated. The food cooked by his wife was amazing—made with quality ingredients, prepared beautifully, and full of bold, authentic flavor. Easily one of the top three meals we had in Sri Lanka. If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. The hotel is relatively new and the interiors are done well. Rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. Staff is very cooperative and provided what we requested for. Over all a very good stay

Its a beautiful place in the countryside, simple and rustic and so pretty ... the bed was very comfortable and both the room and bathroom very clean and the breakfast setting, looking at the garden and land beyond, created a very peaceful start to the day and the omelette was delicious ... the host and his wife are delightful, too!
