The host is such a great guy. Along with his many cars and dogs and his sweet mother, the host made my stay one I didn’t want to leave! Real life working aircon provided (not a fan— the real deal!) The room was cool on arrival and functioned perfectly. The bed and pillows were super comfy. 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants.

During our Sri Lanka vacation, we stayed at the Amaranthe Bay Resort for the last two nights. The Junior Suite we booked was spacious and elegant, with the highlight being the Jacuzzi Bath – a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration. Adding to its charm, the balcony offered a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding nature, and we were fortunate to witness stunning sunsets over the nearby lake, creating unforgettable memories. Although the resort's large inviting pool was enjoyable, some sharp corners around the area caused minor inconveniences and led to an unfortunate toe injury. Nevertheless, our overall experience remained highly enjoyable. The hotel's convenient location allowed easy access to the ocean and beach, where we found several delightful restaurants for lunch or dinner. Inside the resort, we had the pleasure of dining at their lovely restaurant, offering reasonable prices and a varied, tasty breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive, and while there was a minor disagreement about the exchange rate during payment, the managers handled the situation with professionalism, swiftly resolving any issues and leaving us with a positive impression of their commitment to guest satisfaction. Amaranthe Bay Resort's well-maintained and peaceful ambiance made our stay perfect. Very spacious clean rooms, big pool with sun beds and quiet location - perfect to relax. Such a lovely host, very friendly, and always there to help with any extras that we needed. The beach was just a short walk away and there were a few restaurants within walking distance.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel offered different breakfast options, the rooms were spacious, the environment was quiet, and the swimming pool was clean. The service was attentive, and when there was a power outage one evening, the staff quickly resolved the issue. Highly recommend!

We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment and were quite happy with it. Each room had its own bathroom, and there was also a kitchen. All the rooms — including the living area — had balconies, which made the apartment feel bright and spacious. The location was fantastic. It took just 2–3 minutes to get to the pool and no more than 5 minutes to reach the beach. We were right next to the sandy area, so we could rinse our feet and jump straight into the pool — such a luxury! The pool itself was lovely and well-maintained. We didn’t use the restaurant much, but the staff were incredibly kind and polite throughout our stay. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Waking up to an ocean view and being able to get to the beach or pool within minutes made our stay very enjoyable. A comfortable place for a relaxed holiday.

Wonderful place to stay near Nilaveli - it's a huge apartment located in a condominium equipped with all the services and amenities you might need during your stay. The staff was great, different services were available (we had a shared pool, a private jacuzzi on the rooftop, a café where you could go to eat or order room service, etc.), and there was also a security guard at the entrance. The apartment was clean, beds were comfortable, Wi-Fi was working well and you have an amazing view on the beach and sea. On top of that, sleeping with the sound of waves in the background was priceless! Moreover, there's also a bank with ATM and foreign exchange services located at 2-3 minutes (by car) from the condominium. Last but not least, our hosts were friendly, always available, and they also helped us when we changed our check-in/check-out times!
