This property has 2 flats and as a group of 4 we rented both. Lovely modern bright apartments in the little village of Dolenje Jezero near Cerknica. We were surprised at how large the apartment was, very well equipped and great value for money. Our hosts were really kind and helpful and on hand for any queries. There is a lot of cycling and walking around here with great cycle tracks around the lake. We were there primarily to see the intermittent lakes and the local wild flowers. The lake was very full as there had been so much rain in May, it would be interesting to see what it looks like in the summer when it has all drained into the karst system below. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area and we could have stayed longer than 2 nights.

Super short stop on our way to Venice, only slept for the night. Very understated, quality furniture and in good taste. Wanted to leave early in the morning without having breakfast and boy im glad we didn’t. Super nice host made us a delicious omelette with cheese and prosciutto that lasted us until dinner.

Great views of surrounding hills. Ideal for city escape, slow mornings spent cooking brunch in outdoor kitchen, reading a book under the oak tree. Very friendly and caring hosts!

Everything was perfect. The apartment was clean, had everything needed for a comfortable stay, and even more – tea, coffee, and other little things. We really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

Quietly and beautifully situated in a cul-de-sac on a steep mountain, yet only a few minutes' drive from the river and the town of Vipava, which has decent restaurants, shops and an ATM. Large supermarkets (including Lidl, Spar, Mercator) are a 15-minute drive away in the town of Ajdovščina. The term “apartment” is too modest for this nostalgic Roman-style villa consisting of two separate floors. The building is located on the mountain side, on the same grounds as the owners' villa on the street side. Plus points are the peace and privacy (fully fenced grounds, separate building, cul-de-sac), the spacious bedroom/living room, the large extra toilet, the very large fitted kitchen with huge adjoining dining room, large covered terraces with seating on both floors, the (shared) swimming pool and the phenomenal view of the mountains and valley. The fact that not all of the inventory is still functional is more than compensated for by the favourable price/quality ratio and the extraordinary hospitality and helpfulness of the owners. You are a welcome guest here of three generations of entrepreneurs, who are also beekeepers. One of your hosts is a dog trainer. Your dog is very welcome here, can play in the garden with the owners' dogs and can be safely walked a kilometre uphill on the extensive walking trails in the Vipavska dolina nature reserve (various levels of difficulty). Upon request, your hosts will also show you the way to safe places to swim with your dog in the river or the sand quarry. In short, Božič Residence is highly recommended for dog owners, those seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers and honey buyers. Twenty minutes' drive uphill, the owners also have an estate with a farm, horses, donkeys, cattle, alpacas, goats, dogs, chickens and 20 hectares of rolling alpine meadows. This unique estate is very remote, surrounded by nature.

Beautiful place, situated in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well-stocked (everything is there), and the apartment is clean, comfortable, and nice. If you are visiting with a car, I really can't recommend it enough – there is a huge free parking area just outside the entrance. There is also a whirlpool bath and sauna available, as well as a very good internet connection. The hostess was very helpful. She speaks very good English, which was very useful since we are foreigners. Highly recommend it!

Great apartment, recently refreshed with a superb level of elegance. All services were present and perfectly working, giving us the opportunity to spend our holiday with an high quality of life. Sauna was wonderful but the outdoor patio was a blast: hot tube for four perfectly shaded to give privacy, table and sun beds to enjoy the big portion of grass garden. Many thanks to the family host: extraordinary story to be read ! Particular mention for the "welcome pack" with super tasty homemade elements. We will definitely come back here !
