The host Anthony is English speaking and very welcoming, he helped us to book tickets and recommended suitable routes through the park and took the time to chat with us every night over a beer or two and telling us about Zhangjiajie. The Rooms are large and newly decorated, everything from Beds to Bathrooms are brand new. There are several restaurants along the road in short walking distance. I can't think of a better place to stay if you want to visit Wulingyuan. Great Value. Highly recommended.

The accommodation offers a hot tub. The location is perfect, only 5-10min from the airport with taxi. The staff super helpful, the first day they help us to buy the tickets to Tian men shang and the avatars mountain. They also explain us the best rout to visit these places, this help us a lot with our schedule. Also they upgrade our room for free.

The room seamlessly blended traditional Tusheng architecture with modern comforts (think heated floors and rainfall showers). What truly stood out was the proactive service—they contacted us pre-arrival to coordinate luggage storage and secured park tickets during peak season. If you seek authenticity over luxury, this family-run gem delivers soul-stirring moments you won’t find at chain hotels.

It was so relaxing to come back to such a comfortable and stylish space. We also have to compliment the hotel's restaurant. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of both Chinese and Western options, giving us a perfect start to each day. The dinners we had were delicious and used high-quality ingredients. Merlot Crystal is more than just a place to sleep; it's an essential part of the magical Zhangjiajie experience. We left feeling rejuvenated and with wonderful memories. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
