When it’s fully finished, the room will be to a high specification. The bathroom and balcony in particular were very pleasant. We had comfortable sleeps on the beds and there is a good attempt to create storage space inside what is a fairly tight squeeze for 3 or 4 travellers with luggage. The staff were very friendly and very keen to help. At present the property doesn’t appear to be fully finished.

Lovely room, clean and spacious, with nice bathroom, plus tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge, along with tea, coffee and water provided. Across the road, the Budda Cafe (under the same ownership) is set looking over the river and served a good selection of delicious food. Plus nice staff. Very convenient location for the arrival/departure boats and for the boat/canoe tours. The owners also organised for us to be met at the ferry point at La Pavona and again on arrival at Tortuguero.

good environment and space to relax

The room (dorm) had enough space, fans and en suite bathrooms, which was great. The kitchen is ok and there is lots of space to hang around in the garden.

A wonderful lodge with the combination of the jungle and the beach. Spacious room and bathroom with an extra large bed. Don’t forget to book your table on the flow boat restaurant for dinner as tables are very limited. unforgettable experience!

Willis was an exceptional host, picking us up from the main dock and organising our boat tour and dropping us off at the national park for a walk. His son also very kind sharing his knowledge and love of wildlife. The lodge was set in beautiful gardens, with the sound of birds, the rain and sea, loud yet so tranquil! Perfect pool for the children, delicious breakfast, clean spacious rooms and beautiful decking to relax in the hammocks. Thank you for having us!

For me, one of the most beautiful Hostels in Costa Rica! Beautiful common area, spacious rooms, bathrooms inside the rooms, they made our beds and gave complimentary towels. Amazing smoothies at the restaurant!! The guy from the restaurant lend me his umbrella, which I much appreciate!!
