The Cottage is situated in a quite location but is still very close to the center. The shower was beautiful and also the garden area very nice. Food was great and also the host was very friendly and helpful with safari and daytrip bookings.

The room was just like the pictures, and the surrounding forest and river are magical. We even encountered some monkeys on the property which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was filling and delicious, a combination of traditional Sri Lankan sweets and breakfast foods with fruit. The owner and workers are incredibly courteous, offered some good safari deals, and even showed us some of the cinnamon, curry leaves, and pepper plant which are all on their property. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in the area! Extremely reasonable price.

The property features an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness room and water sports facilities. We spent two nights at JML Villa Foresta with the family and honestly, it was the best stay we’ve ever had. From the moment I booked, the owner was in touch and super helpful. Even though he lives abroad, he made sure everything was taken care of and that we were happy. You don’t often see that level of communication and care. Getting to the villa is an adventure in itself. It sits right on top of a mountain, and the hotel provides both the off-road vehicle and the skilled driver you’ll need to get there. Once you’re at the top, the views are absolutely jaw-dropping and the weather shifts constantly, so the scenery feels alive and always changing. The villa is just beautiful. A mix of stone and wood that feels both rustic and luxurious. Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Outside there’s a pool with an incredible view, and inside you’ve got a pool table, big flat-screen TV, and a sound system you can crank up without worrying about disturbing anyone, since the villa sits on its own massive 25+ acre estate. Total privacy. RSpecial thanks to Ravi, the host, who looked after us with such professionalism and warmth. He made sure we were comfortable at every moment. And the food? Honestly next level. The owner had told me they serve more than what you pay for, but I didn’t realize just how true that was until we sat down. Every meal was generous, beautifully presented, and delicious. The dishes just kept coming until we couldn’t eat another bite. If you’re after breathtaking views, complete privacy, amazing food, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, this is the place. We loved every minute and would come back in a heartbeat.

The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel at ease. There was tea and kettle for our use. Breakfast was waiting for us as we came back from early morning safari and it was delicious.

Every room includes a private bathroom with a bath or shower , and bidet, with free toiletries ,bath slippers and bath robes are provided. The facility is one thing but the staff, the complimentary aspects, the care and attention of everyone was fantastic. From the manager, to the driver, the restaurant staff, the chefs, everybody is kind, patient, hospitable and knowledgeable about the surroundings. It is a wonderful mix of comfortable stay with facilities and immersion into nature. The one hour massage, the yoga session, the tour in the village with the local guide were all extra perks that we enjoyed thoroughly. We even asked for traditional coconut pancakes for breakfast and the chefs prepared a delicious meal every time. They shared local snippets with us about the flora, fauna and culture of the region, we visited the temple and the rice fields, the school. The manager and the staff were always attentive with our needs and questions, they drove us and picked us up from the locations. We cannot recommend the place enough, truly! It's been the highlight of our three-week Sri Lanka trip so far. It is not just an accommodation, it's a story in itself 🙏♥️

Given the price paid for the room, we had overall a good experience and the bed was extremely comfortable.
