We made great use of the snooker table. Great location despite all the steps. With pool views, this accommodation provides a balcony and a swimming pool. The guest house features a hot tub and a 24-hour front desk. A beautiful garden with relaxing pool!!The room was quiet and perfect, with a lovely huge bathroom. The host Margarita was wonderful, we had a warm greeting, a small tour and some advice on where to go in town for dinner. Really a lovely spot for anyone touring the Douro Valley and its vineyards.

Our stay at Casa do Rio was truly perfect, beginning with the exceptional service provided by Gonçalo and his team. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel special on our honeymoon. The location is breathtaking, and no photos can truly capture its beauty. The food at the restaurant was the best we’ve experienced in Portugal so far, and the wines offered a wonderful introduction to this remarkable wine region. We will definitely return at some point in our lives, as this place has carved out a special place in our hearts.
