A great old historical house in excellent condition.
A great old historical house in excellent condition. Used in countless movies. The vast grounds are well worth seeing in their own right. The grounds and rear exterior were used as stand-ins for Vienna streets, and the hotel Bond and Miss Milovy stay at in 'The Living Daylights'. Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna is like stepping into a fairy tale. The building is stunning, and the gardens are like something out of a dream. It's got a really interesting history because it used to be a royal summer home. The tour inside the palace is great, and you can learn all about the people who lived there. Plus, it's in a good location, so you can easily get to other cool stuff in Vienna. The people who work there are friendly and helpful, and they give you a headset so you can explore at your own pace. We arrived there at 4 o'clock, convinced that everything would be open. But we were wrong. We could only see the state apartments (basically 3 or 4 rooms). I suggest you go earlier to have a proper tour of the palace. however, I think the real beauty of Schönbrunn are the majestic gardens and the Neptune fountain, the Gloriette and (literally) the forest around it.Guest review byGiovannaItaly - 8.0
