First impression driving up we were excited with how cute it looked amongst the landscape, so easy to find with the sms we recieved prior to arriving giving directions to the guesthouse. Parking close by for unpacking the car, the verandah is so long, tables and chairs out the front and this is where we ate our meals overlooking the gorgeous setting, I loved meeting our neighbours outside the rooms and sitting around socialising everyone was so friendly and lovely, also entertaining lots of laughs. Hosts were lovely, greeted with big welcoming smiles, checking in to make sure everything is okay allowing time to ask questions, also telling us where the best spots were to go to view wildlife ie baby water hens by the dam, they encourage walking around and exploring the property. The room was spacious and had lots of character It had everything we could possibly need, well thought out even had mozzie repelliant in the bathroom. Extra blanket, hangers in the cupboard all the creature comforts you would have at home. it is so peaceful there of a night making it easy to sleep. Breakfast being included came in a beautiful picnic basket, plenty of food to eat ie fresh croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice etc. I felt like everything our hosts did and included in our stay they put their personal touch to it ie cereal in a a cute little container instead of the box it comes in, fruit in bowls with little cute lid covers. Where they have located tables and chairs, seats throughout the gardens for guests to use and enjoy. We spent alot of time in the pool was so cool and refreshing as temps were high and to our surprise in the room in a basket was big pool towels another example of how they have thought of everything. I will definitely be coming back to stay again at The Carriages Boutique Hotel and Vineyard

The villa was exceptional. Jeff took us on a “Grapes to Glass” tour and lead us on the “Canapés” & wine experience. Both were very good as a starting point for 3 days in Hunter Valley. Lunch on the patio and dinner at the Gates were both exceptional.

My wife and myself booked 2 nights accommodation at the Mercure as it was very centralised to Bimbadgen Estate for the Take That concert we were attending. The rooms were the highest quality and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. During our stay we also did some wine tasting at DeBortoli's Hunter Valley, we went to the Hunter Valley Chocolate and Fudge factory, had dinner at Harrigans Pub and attended the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas lights. The furthest we travelled from our location was only a 10 minute drive. It has beautiful manicured lawns and gardens and is the perfect location for a weekend getaway, corporate stay or to host an event

Absolutely LOVED wandering around the Gardens.

Absolutely LOVED wandering around the Gardens. Was a beautiful experience to be immersed in a variety of artfully created gardens - each one having their own feeling. Highly recommend visiting if you're a fan of nature and or gardens.

We went in Nov - the Christmas Lights in the gardens at this time were spectacular? Well worht a night visit and if you buy a day pass you get a decent discount off the Christmas lights night tickets too. Staff are terrific and very helpful & friendly. All in all a worthwhile visit

We had plenty of room in our apartment. Great location - close to wineries and Hunter Valley Gardens. Choice of on site restaurant, bistro, take away or self catering meals. We ate at the a la carte restaurant- delicious meal. Heated pools were a bonus.

The Proximity to the pool/restaurant was great, ease of access to apartment and use of lock up garage was also really nice. Apartment was roomy and kids loved it. Trip with the family so not much golfing but it would have been a golfers dream stay. Short distance drive to Hunter Valley Gardens, the zoo and restaurants and boutique shops. Nothing was ever really too much of a hassle to get around to. We will definitely come back again.

Room was large and the complex was very quiet considering its main road location. Kids loved the pool. Great location - convenient to the Hunter Valley gardens. Water pressure in the shower was amazing. Outside of the building looks to have been recently redecorated. Gardens are lovely and the staff we dealt with were polite.

The location is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with breakfast included for a delightful start to the day. It's nestled right in Polkobin, next to Hunter Valley gardens and close to all the vineyards. Beautiful views and got to see Kangaroos right outside our window.

I liked the location and how quiet it was, I slept so well. It was centrally located and it was a short drive to a lot of the attractions I wanted to visit, if the temperature was cooler it would have been possible to walk to Hunter Valley Gardens.

Exceeded our expectations. Great pub food and atmosphere. Rooms are behind the pub and surprisingly quiet. We were not disturbed by any pub noise. Room was large and spacious. We stayed overnight to visit the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights, only a 15 minute walk along gravel path. Used torches on the return walk, all easy enough, level walk the whole way. Would stay again.
