The hotel staff were extremely helpful from the checkin till checkout, we were taken care of well. The room was comfortable and clean and had all the necessities. Bar area was peaceful and it was nice to relax there with a view to the mountains while the fireplace was on. They also had spacious free parking and the walk to Katoomba center was easy and short.

Lovely place. The decoration is beautiful, rooms are excellent. Staff is great, super nice people ready to help you with anything you need. We got the chance to use de outdoor hot tub, the sauna and the e-bikes, amazing experience. 100% recommended!

The Three Sisters

According to Aboriginal legend, these iconic rocks were formed when three sisters were turned to stone by a witch doctor while awaiting their forbidden lovers. Whether or not the legend is true, you can marvel at their impressive beauty from Echo Point Lookout. For a close-up, follow the 'Giant Staircase' down to Katoomba Falls – you can skip the return hike by hopping on the Scenic Railway!

    Get to echo point for sunset and you can see the shadow cast...

    Get to echo point for sunset and you can see the shadow cast across the three sisters. Or you can walk out to the lookout point and see it from the other direction. Both as beautiful. Be mindful it can get cold the minute the sun dips out of sight, even on a summers day the wind can pick up. Also enjoy the restaurant with a local drink and great food with a view. Very friendly staff

    The viewing platform is being renovated for easier access...

    The viewing platform is being renovated for easier access for strollers and wheel chairs. There are 2 levels from which one can view the beautiful scenery. Parking can be at a premium. There is a pay lot a short walk away near the cafe. Afternoon light will be better for photographers as the 3 Sisters is east of the viewing platform. One can also walk to the rock formation.

  • Bats fly around the floodlights shining on the Three Sisters...

    Bats fly around the floodlights shining on the Three Sisters in the evening, and before the tourists arrive there are birds to be found in the forest. If this is your thing, then from about 10am - 6pm you get to see a plethora of bus driven tour groups in their natural habitat as well - early morning and late evening are Much Better.
