IrelandThis was a fantastic base for a few days. The facilities were excellent. The toilets and shower areas were spotlessly clean. It was a little chilly however! The team here are wonderful and we're so friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the young man from Ireland at reception. He was so kind, friendly and accommodating. He provided me with a hairdryer from the reception desk. Tip - Free laundry facilties are available which was very welcome as (understandably) everything gets covered in red sand after hiking! Wasing powder packs are available at reception for 3.50. The Outback Kiosk serves great salads daily if you are looking for a healthy snack. Breakfast is tasty at the Brough Restaurant. You can also have breakfast at any of the other hotel restaurant. No booking is needed and you can pay on arrival. The Desert Gardens offers a sensational breakfast.

Better than I expected!
Better than I expected! People - HIRE A BIKE, not a segwey!! Soooo much cheaper and you can ride all the way around in 3 hours. We originally booked segweys but cancelled due to the exhorbitant cost and got bikes instead which ended up so much better because they're faster and more comfortable and you don't have to worry about how to ride it so you can concentrate fully on taking in the scenery. Also a mesh flyscreen hat!! Life saver for everywhere around here. We didn't need it for Uluru because we went in the am but definitely did for other places like Kata Tjuta later that day.Guest review byRebeccaAustralia

Comfortable, clean & a haven from the flies outside! Also, it is very accessible since most tour buses/coaches do the Ayers Rock resort circuit for all Uluru tours. We loved the terrace with garden chairs and table to observe the birds in the morning hours with the red sand in front of us. It was a magic stay, very close to the Uluru and the Olgas. The hotel staff was very helpful and kind, we loved the choice of restaurants and can recommend the hotel's own restaurants. Actually, all people in Yulara were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent (although quite expensive) and we all enjoyed the pool. Getting into the main village was actually quite easy with the free shuttle bus. You definitely pay a premium price as there’s not a lot of options in Uluru but I’d say the Outback hotel is maybe the best value of all options.Guest review byJonasFinland

My friends and I managed to get grocery to do hotpot party at night! The Outback Hotel was in a great location and the AC worked great which we really needed (it was 107 degrees for all 3 nights of our stay!) They also had awesome shops, free educational workshops, and a free bus that ran every 20 minutes to take you to different places throughout Uluru.
