Everything about this place was great. The beds are super comfortable and surrounded by traditional ceiling hung mosquito nets in all rooms. The bathrooms are large with a good height shower. Each room has a fridge. The breakfast is wonderful and all homemade by the onsite team. There's a large swimming pool which is good for swimming lengths too with a large relaxing area around it, and the car park is secure with a sliding gate. The hotel is close to local amenities and restaurants too. The hotel hosts are the best I've encountered in Brazil.

Perfect place to stay in Santarem. Close to the sights and also the bus stop to Alter. Comfortable and clean rooms. Yummy breakfast and kind staff. Stayed there twice.

    We went to the fish market part of the waterfront to watch...

    We went to the fish market part of the waterfront to watch the pink dolphins who congregate there when the fishmongers throw unwanted fish to them. The market workers tie a fish on a line and pitch it in the water; shortly the water boils with dolphins, and the fish is gone. You can walk from there along the waterfront looking at the boats, from little rowboats to an ocean-going ship registered in Singapore docked at a series of grain silos. There are shaded benches placed at intervals along the waterfront, to get out of the sun.
