It's way more impressive to see in person. A hidden treasure is really what's right next to it - the Glacier Garden of Lucerne if you are interested in geology. Go into the glacier museum while you’re there. We were skeptical at first, as I hadn’t looked into the museums in the area and had no idea what it was. By far the best views of the city and way bigger than we thought it was! You can get a great side view of the lion as well, which was pleasant to be so close to him in such a private moment. Please visit the Labyrinth and lower areas first. We were so tempted to follow the trail up, the layout had us walking a bunch of stairs unnecessarily because we just didn’t know. There is a large Coop 1min walk away to get any food/necessities. The bed was comfortable and facilities were clean. Password is required to enter the room as well as to access your pod so felt very safe. Great location (5 mins bus ride from train station). 1 minute from lion monument. Rooms were spacious and clean. The towels were replaced everyday (which is rare nowadays). The room service was super fast. Many people have mentioned in the review that hotel does not have an AC. We were at the hotel when the temp touched 25-30 degrees.
