    Leave this for your last day - if your flight is at night, reach the Tocket point at 1pm and you'll have plenty of time. Best spot for pictures are actually on the left corner on the elevated area. Do not waste time on the way.

    I was up on the mountain in the winter ,3 days after...

    I was up on the mountain in the winter ,3 days after heaven's door was closed ,so get there when the main attraction is open . I was the last tourist off the mountain ,but it was still fantastic ,everything was covered in ice and it was very foggy ,I still enjoyed the experience. Once again make sure those things you want to see are going to be available

    Tianmen Mountain or heavenly gate is a great attraction with stunning views. It is easy accesible by cable car, the routes are clear and there are different things to see and to do, the temple, the gate and the glass walk. I prefered this place over the Yangjiajie Scenic Aera.

    We had a great stay at the Zhangjiajie Jijiehao Inn, the room was comfortable and clean. Emer was really helpful in suggesting routes to see the sights in Zhangjiajie national park and it's only a 5 minute taxi ride from the hotel to the east gate. Emer also booked us tickets for Tianmen mountain and a cultural show in Wulingyuan which we really enjoyed.

    The hotel is located in a charming area with narrow alleys and a bunch of restaurants, right across the street from the Tianmen cable. The staff was very helpful letting us leave our bags in the reception before check-in and after check-out. The guy in the reception was excellent at explaining the best route to take at Tianmen Mountain, even though we didn't book our tickets through the hotel. Great place to stay for Tianmen Mountain and Zhangjiajie city exploring. Highly recommend

    Super friendly! They helped us organize the tours in Tianmen mountain, Zhangjiajie Forest and Grand Canyon to avoid crowds and also helped us buying the tickets way before our arrival to China. In addition, the rooms are really clean and seem quite new. For Tianmen mountain is perfectly located, really close to the cable car entrance (5 min by car). We just stayed 1 night in their hotel but wished to stayed longer.

    Big room, simply furnished. Big and comfortable beds. Small hotel/homestay. Chinese breakfast included and homemade, something new every day. Very friendly and helpful owner. Based on our stay and time available he made the best planning for visiting Zhangjiajie forest park and Tianmen Mountain. We were able to get the most out of it with his help. Nice view on Tianmen Mountain from the room.

    This hotel is really excellent! The price I booked was very favorable, and the hotel itself is great. It's only an 8-minute walk from the hotel to the Forest Park. The hotel gave me a map of Zhangjiajie as a gift, which includes maps of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, and Tianmen Mountain. The front desk staff introduced how to tour around Zhangjiajie, and I really had a happy journey here!

    The place is literally 5 minutes walking from the Tianmen mountain cableway . Around the hostel you can find a lot of restaurants where you can eat all kind of typical Chinese food . Hostel to train station - 15 minutes by car . Hostel to city center - 10 minutes by car . Rainbow , the owner , will help you with any kind of questions and requests . Her English is really good.
