The staff at Martas are just lovely. We received a really warm welcome when we checked in, and our room was ready 2 hours early, which was a great bonus. The rooms are basic dormatory style rooms but very spacious and clean. We had booked NH Collection Berlin Mitte am Checkpoint Charlie, but when we realized our train would arrive at Berlin Central Station instead of Berlin Südkreuz, we contacted the hotel about two hours before arriving to ask if we could change our stay to NH Collection Berlin Mitte Friedrichstrasse, which is just one metro stop from Berlin Central Station. It's literally a 10 minute walk away. The staff were efficient and very nice, the hotel itself was very pleasant. My room was fine, the bed was comfy. My only issue was the lack of AC although I did have the use of an efficient fan. The restaurant was good, I had an all you can eat BBQ the night I stayed. I even had a free buffet breakfast which was really good. All in all the perfect hotel for someone using the Hauptbahnhof.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom
