The living room was directly connected to the balcony which offered an excellent feeling of being embedded in the lovely surroundings. The house is adjacent to a very beautiful hiking area and you are within 1.5 km distance of some excellent views of Wartburg castle. One of our best stays ever. We booked very late in the evening, having been turned down from another place. I was afraid of getting remarks about the time of booking and the extremely short notice, but no, he received us like old friends and on top of everything brought complimetary drinks. No time to stroll around the next day, as we were on a stop-over during a long drive, but seemed nice neighborhood. For example the tables in the breakfast room had white starched tablecloths. The location is perfect - about 7 mins walk from the station with the old town just beyond (a treasure trove for Bach lovers).
