The attractions are wonderful.. few tips, very pushy market stall holders!! your entry ticket fee includes 3 tombs but not the ‘big name’ tombs that’s an extra cost.. options once inside entry gate either walk the hill or pay again for golf buggy transfer.. there is provision for wheelchairs but not one for hire.. the security guards at each tomb are lovely and will assist you, most speak good English. 6am-10am is the best time to visit the tombs.
6am-10am is the best time to visit the tombs. Don't buy the Luxor premium Pass ( 220 euros for adult and 110 euros for student- it would be half price if you bought Cairo Pass already) as it isn't worth it, (it is supposed to cover the tomb of Nefertari but the tomb is closed atm). They haven't provided us any information about what are included in the Luxor Pass or the Premium Pass. Be aware of the entry fees.
Be aware of the entry fees. Set I alone was an extra 1800LE - nearly £28 per person - the cost per person for all the tombs, including Tutankhamun was £46 each!! The rooms are well furnished and clean. The staff is very friendly. Our flight was late and they offered us to vacate the room only in the evening. Everyone works for the customer. The breakfast was plentiful, and the view from the restaurant in the evening is unique. You can see the illuminated Valley of the Kings on the other side of the Nile. The pool is great, very clean, and well used due to the heat in Luxor. There was a giant fan in the living room and another portable fan for when it got really hot. It's a 5 minute drive to the Valley of the Kings and a short walk to the Nile. The host was very helpful, too. We will definitely come back and stay here.
