The staff were friendly and professional throughout and we could not have asked for better service. The position is with in easy reach of the old town as well as the citadel.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff were very helpful and attentive. it’s close to lots of restaurants and the character is lovely. The bed was a nice size and very comfortable.

I liked this place, it was in the middle of the old town. On foot, within a few minutes, you would reach all the interesting spots you would look for. Furthermore it has it’s own and safe parking just in the location, and it’s easy reachable by car or bike. Especially the hosting was fantastic. The recetionist contacted me in advance to ensure, every thing would work fine on my arrival. Thanks for the stay and the kindness.

All of the staff were very friendly. We arrived three hours before the earliest check in time but our room was ready and they kindly let us in. Location was perfect. Both tram lines and many bus lines stop 100 m away from the hotel. Hotel interior is modern and clean and their beds are very confy. They didn't have coffee machine nor instant coffees in the room which are usually available in other hotels but that is a tiny issue. I can truly recommend Ibis hotel for your stay in Besançon.

This Hotel Mercure is situated in the city centre of Besancon in the casino garden on the Doubs River and opposite the Micaud Park. Guests can enjoy a hike along the Doubs, or enjoy a boat cruise.

Spacious underground garage (no tight corners or pillars). The room was large, bright, and very clean, with a nice balcony overlooking a well-maintained courtyard. Everything felt new and fresh. Bottled water and an espresso machine were provided, along with plenty of towels. No unnecessary bedspreads or throw pillows – which I really appreciated! Super comfortable beds and efficient AC. The bathroom was also spotless and stylish. Location is great – just a 10-minute walk to the city center with lots of restaurants and bars. Charming town and very friendly, English-speaking staff. We didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t say anything about that. Highly recommend!
