Chester Cathedral was the most welcoming cathedral I visited. It’s absolutely beautiful, with stunning details and several lovely spaces to explore. The people there were incredibly kind and hospitable. There’s also a café, clean restrooms, and a charming garden and park at the back — perfect for a quiet rest or a snack. An amazing building.
An amazing building. Great tranquillity away from its busier days and times. Good place to pause and reflect - away from the many temples and stalls of Mammon!! A lively bar was great for a drink after attending a nearby event and breakfast in the morning was excellent. The breakfast staff in particular deserve a mention for their friendliness and speed of service.
