Great place to stay, nice Restaurants, Shops etc. Don't venture out of this area if travelling in a car, we stay in this area when departing from Bristol Airport as a treat before our holiday, be aware you are liable to get a fine of some sort, they rely on visitors not knowing the area to make mistakes - Bus Lane, Gate Lane, etc. you name it Bristol Council will fine you for anything they can. Went for the bridge (of course) and museum and that was a little difficult to find - could do with better signposting. I lived in Bristol not far from Clifton for over 10 years, yet I never visited the shopping area of The Mall off Sion Hill. Fantastic set of shops, mostly independent. I even made a purchase! Yes again a lovely place to stay had a comfortable night at the Clifton no problems at all! Parking was good & secure few yards up from the hotel! The apartment was a perfect size for our group of four (two friends and our teenage daughters). It’s ideally located: just a short 10-minute stroll to the heart of Clifton Village, which is full of lovely cafés, bakeries and independent shops. Getting into the city centre was also easy, either on foot or by bus. Communication with David and Jenny was excellent throughout, they were friendly, helpful and responsive.
