What a fantastic find and gem of a place to stay. By their own admission, this venue is not a pub, but it is an exceptional combined restaurant and hotel that would challenge the best that I have been to. Self-check-in was explained with a courtesy call from the host before arrival and no questions raised caused an issue. Both dinner and breakfast were stupendous and secretly Michelin-starred! Breakfast was very good and there were vegan and gluten free options and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The stay included entry to Hever Castle and it was lovely to be able to look round the castle before day time visitors arrived and walk round the gardens any time we liked. It was excellent value for money, especially the breakfast that was included. The rooms are very generous and have every luxury. The team at the hotel were also very helpful and provided advice on what to do in the surrounding countryside.
