They were absolutely first-class! from booking-in at reception to the porters, waiters, chefs, security, cafe and shop staff, they were magnificent! Secondly, the location is magical and to see Portmeirion lit up at night, is breathtaking. Shower was lovely and the bathroom itself was very nice and spacious. Booked dinner and the dining experience was a bit more elegant than we are used to, however the gourmet food was delicious and beautifully presented. I have stayed before and always given favourable reviews. I was particularly pleased with the help I had in 2021 when I had a health issue and the reception staff were very helpful. There is a very nice atmosphere and the interior of the hotel is nice. Ditto my room, ditto breakfast. My very solid recommendation if you stay in Porthmadog, this hotel.
