Didn't do the tour but queued in the rain for 20 minutes for the shop which was very poor compared to others like Glenfiddich etc. No samples (presumably using the Covid excuse) and no exhibition or information that you find in other distilleries. The prices are extortionate as they are in all distilleries but I might have been tempted by a distillery reserve if I could have tried it first.

The awesome view from the garden, our great host James, who sings beautifully in Gaelic and was happy to chat about the area, its history, getting around etc. We also enjoyed the Old Inn just down the road, which has live music every week, and spent a fun afternoon at the Talisker distillery just minutes away from our place.

Great location close to Carbost with restaurants featuring local musicians, Talisker distillery, great hiking, and easy access to the island. Cafe Cuil is a 5 minute walk away and a gem. The property is country peaceful. Modern, clean, and well appointed. It was a much better accommodation than the online description. Good tasting water out of the tap. We would definitely stay there again.
