We stayed for 4 nights, and we loved everything about this hotel. We’d read some reviews that mentioned the sketchy neighborhood. Take those reviews with a big grain of salt. It’s not sketchy. It’s just Athens. It’s centrally located but not in the center of all the super touristy stuff. It’s close to the metro, an easy trip to the Acropolis and all the sites. It’s a quick walk to several awesome restaurants, wine bars, and cocktail bars. Not touristy spots. We avoid those. The room was perfect. Comfortable bed. Super clean. The shower was insanely awesome. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. The bar on the 8th floor is outstanding. They make seriously good cocktails. And the breakfast in that same room is excellent. We highly recommend this hotel.

It's a fantastic hotel. Perfect location, super friendly staff, very nice room. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. We stayed here with my family, took a room with the jacuzzi on the balcony, and our son loved it.

It is the perfect place for families. Right in the heart of Athens, close to walk to the main attractions. Easy access on metro, which is close, and you can use for transfer from the airport (direct line). Extraordinary breakfast. Nice roof terrace with a great view. The personnel was very helpful, especially Georgia.

National Archaeological Museum of Athens

Time travel is usually only for science fiction stories, but a trip to the National Archaeological Museum in Athens is an actual trip through history. From the golden funeral masks of kings to statues of vengeful gods and ancient, rusted computers (yes, really!) the Museum has managed to collect the highlights from thousands of years of art and culture. The civilizations that provided these treasures may be long gone, but their legacy is timeless.

    This is a wonderful museum.

This is a wonderful museum. The beauty of the ancient artefacts is astounding - even in neolithic times, thousands of years before Jesus, people were creating and making pottery. Thousands of years before the common era, people were crafting intricate jewellery, majestic statues, tools and utensils. The cafe in the basement is worth a visit, set in a shady garden.

Mostly sculpture here, and since i spend a lot of time in Italy, have seen tons of Roman art and artifacts including sculpture so this was less interesting for me than other museums in Athens. It also is the oldest of the museums i went to. Good cafe with very pretty garden! was not very crowded considering how many people were roving around the museum.

If staying near Syntagma Square or nearby, you might want to take a taxi or bus to this museum, because it is a long walk. The museum is large and you’ll be on you feet for hours. But it is well worth it!

This is an amazing museum with the largest collection of Greek antiquity such as the statues of Zeus and Poseidon. You are able to enjoy pieces from the past as the Gold Deathmask of Agamemnon, the Antikythera mechanism, and much more. You are free to explore the museum at your own pace, but you might need at least 4 hours. The only disappointment is that for a museum of this caliber and magnitude, where people from all over the world come to see, it cannot afford to have toilet seats in the bathroom. I found it discussing.
