The Sea Organ

Enjoy the symphony of the sea on the beautiful Croatian coast. Designed by architect Nikola Bašić, the Sea Organ is an elaborate set of stone stairs with pipes leading into the Adriatic. As waves push air through the internal whistles, you can hear different tones matching the tide’s ebb and flow. You’d be hard-pressed to find a prettier spot to commune with nature.

The host gave easy to understand instructions on how to find the apartment and get access. We couldn’t have asked for a better location with it being right by the sea organ. The property is beautifully furnished.

The location was perfect. Central to Zadar Old Town, and the Sea Organ 5 mins walk away. Very close to airport public transport. Air Con always disrupts my sleep but PIA is very quiet and caused no bother...very pleased about that!

Really spacious and clean apartament. The kitchen had everything we needed. And the bathroom had a hair dryer, washing machine, toiletries and many towels. We had a terrace and a private parking space in the yard. The hosts were amazing and really welcoming, the lady even brought us some grapes and 2 bottles of homemade alcohol. As for Zadar, it’s a charming place, I recommend visiting the old city and to listen to the Sea Organ at sunset.

Fantastic location in the heart of the old town, very close to the sea organ and the tribute to the sun, as well as close to restaurants, the promenade and a short walk to the harbour. Apartment is lovely, I particularly appreciated the big comfortable bed.

Excellent location, close to the Sea Organ. Clear instructions for parking and entering the apartment. The host was very communicative, and answered fast. Also, very flexible, they let us check-in earlier to accommodate our schedule.

The apartment is right in the centre of the old town - couldn’t be a more perfect location opposite the archaeological museum and across from the Bell Tower. A DM Markt right underneath the apartments and loads of bakeries and restaurants on the main street - all a Stones throw away. It’s a 20 minute walk to the beach A five minute walk to the Sea Organ 20 minutes Uber ride from the airport .

Great location overlooking the waterfront. 5 minute walk to the Sea Organ or into the centre of Old Town. The apartment was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Air con, TV and shower all worked perfectly. The instructions and communication from the host was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is located at the center of the city, close to the Sea Organ and market. Staff was friendly and flexible. Due to the double windows, quiet at night. Located on the best ice cream shop in Zadar.

The old forum is a must. Take a walk along the riva and see the sea organ and "greetings to the sun". The ancient glass museum is very interesting too.

The area around the sea organ could be crowded so the pier in front of the forum is your best bet to get a nice uninterrupted view.

Go to the pier on the far west of town and sit down on the steps that lead into the Mediterannean as the Sea Organ plays a hauning melody while the sun slips below the waves. As dark arrives, watch the Greeting the Sun art installation light up the floor of the boardwalk and play mesmerising patterns as the ferries and cruise lines sail off into the night.
