Hotel BlackWood is a perfect place to stay in Amritsar. It is close to the center and Golden Temple.The room was very pleasant, it was neat and clean The hotel team has always been friendly and helpful No matter what time of day or night, you could turn to them with all your concerns. On my next stays, I will definitely check into Hotel BlackWood again. The price performance is very good as comparitely with other hotels with such spacious room.

    Very good Holy place for all religions, maintained well - temple and vicinity (Sarovar), very clean. Allowing all the people irrespective of any religion. Great Culture. Respecting all people Equally irrespective of the Religion. My sincere request to the Top management to further improve Queue management, so that pilgrims / devotees / children have easy access to the REST ROOMS at emergencies. My Salutes to the management.

    Golden temple is such a peaceful place and so beautiful done...

    Golden temple is such a peaceful place and so beautiful done. One thing I had issue with was the lines. No single li e therefore you just get pushed with crowd. No regard to ladies or kids, get so squeezed can't even breathe. I had to exit myself out of the line as I couldn't take it anymore. Otherwise walking around was beautiful.

    Avoid visiting on weekends and on national and local govt.

    Avoid visiting on weekends and on national and local govt. holidays. Visit on weekdays, you will appreciate more. Best time to visit is early morning, really early morning as in 3 - 4 a.m. It may look daunting with the size of the crowd but it will be worth it.

    First of all thanks to all staff of BlackWood hotel because they are very calm and helpful in every work and good dealing with customer. They give lot of amenities like good breakfast. The cleanliness of hotel is outstanding. They provide all things in the rooms. And most important thing is it's nearby to golden temple.     On a positive note the Hotel had the best Wi-Fi of all the 8 different hotels we stayed in during our India holiday. In summary, very glad we came here and saw The Golden Temple at night and the following morning, together with the Partition Museum which was a salutary reminder of the complexities of previous British overseas rule. Also, highly recommend the Wagar Border Ceremony - such fun.
