We had an absolutely amazing stay here. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming—they even let us check in an hour early and check out an hour later, completely free of charge. The property is spacious and lush with greenery, making it a pleasure to walk around. There are four thermal pools on site, some with breathtaking views of the sea. Thanks to the multiple pools and the large territory, it never felt crowded—guests are naturally spread out, which makes it feel calm and relaxing. Our room had a stunning sea view. Every evening, we enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony chairs with a glass of Aperol in hand—it was pure magic. The mornings were equally enjoyable: delicious, fresh croissants and very good coffee made for the perfect start to the day. The thermal pools are open until sunset, which in July is around 20:30. Swimming in the warm water as the sky turned gold was a beautiful experience. The air conditioning works during set hours—from 14:30 to 09:30—which was more than enough for us. The ceiling fan and the sea breeze from the balcony kept the room pleasantly cool. P.S. If you happen to need an ATM, there’s one about 6 minutes away—up a steep set of stairs over the small mountain behind the hotel. It’s the only nearby option, so be sure to ask the staff for directions. Otherwise, the next closest ATM is in Forio Porto.

Wonderful little hotel with a personal touch. Paola and Dario are fabulous. The property had a lovely pool and a thermal pool as well to spend a lazy morning or two in.

We had a fantastic stay here. The family that run the hotel were so warm and welcoming, nothing was ever too much of a problem. Loved both the outdoor pool and the indoor thermal pool. Beautiful views out over the sea, perfect for sunset cocktails from the bar! They run a shuttle service to the local town throughout the day and evening (whenever you need it), so very easy to get around. Would highly recommend and hope to go back one day!

I had an amazing stay at the Royal Sunset Hotel – everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff were professional and welcoming, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was truly relaxing. A particular highlight was the spa facilities, which I can’t recommend enough. The treatments, ambiance, and overall experience were exceptional – definitely a must for anyone staying here. Grazie! I’ll gladly return on my next visit!

    It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel and we were truly enchanted. We usually choose Ischia Porto for our stays, but precisely because Forio has such stunning hotels, we like to spend a few days here as well. Sorriso was an excellent choice, as it was a beautiful hotel with a sea view, great food, a gorgeous setting, and excellent facilities, including a pool that was always open. We also appreciate the shuttle service to Citara Beach. Thank you for the beautiful moments.

    Apartment had everything I could need. In a pretty location although just off a busy road with narrow pavements so it's better to have own transport to get to Forio/ shops etc. It's also very near a bus stop but the buses get very busy. Very comfortable bed. Walking distance from cava dell'isola and citara beach. Very welcoming, helpful and kind owners, I will definitely stay again.

    The small hotel is located perfectly overlooking the sea only some steps away from a nice beach with a perfect restaurant. Forio & Citara Beach incl. the beautiful Poseidon Terme are only a short walk away. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

    We loved staying at La Dea Del Mare. It is in an excellent position near Poseidon and a 5 minute stroll to Citara Beach. There are many restaurants and grocery shops nearby but we preferred to cook dinner at home and watch the sunset. Enrico the host is caring and goes out of his way to help. He arranged a taxi and made a booking at a restaurant for the one night that we went out. We would highly recommend staying here.

    The pool facilities and gardens are exceptional, the hotel is a tranquil haven to relax for a few days. The hotel is right by a free beautiful beach (Cava dell’Isola) and 15min walk from Citara beach and Poseidon thermal baths. It’s an easy 20min walk along the coast to Forio town, with amazing views of the sunset. Paola and Dario are the most incredible hosts, they are so welcoming and friendly!

    The location was great: close to all Citara beaches and Poseidon spa park, but also right next to the bus station to get to other parts of the island and the port. The room was spacious and pleasant, with magnificent views over the Citara Bay. Special thanks to Francesco for his tremendous hospitality, attentiveness to all guests and homey atmosphere. We would definitely recommend Casa del Sol to everyone who plans to go on a seaside vacation to Ischia.
