The location is great, you are 5 mins away from the colissium, and about 15 to 20 mins walking to most other big places, but along the way there a ton other things to see. There is a good selection of restaurants very close to the hotel. The staff was very helpful with everything. They can help you call a taxi for the airport if you need one. (all taxis have a flat fee of €50 to the airport).

From the moment I arrived, I fell in love with this hotel -the beautiful garden and the incredibly warm welcome from the staff made such a great first impression. My room was clean, with a lovely view. I booked a small one, but honestly, it felt quite spacious, more than enough for me. The biggest highlight is the location: just a short walk to the Colosseum, and the Termini train station is easily accessible by metro. And of course, the garden and the surrounding neighborhood with ancient Roman ruins right around the corner make it truly special. I really couldn’t recommend it more!

The Colosseum

The fights! The glory! This iconic arena specialized in gory ends. Built in the 1st century, it held up to 80,000 spectators who came to witness gladiatorial combat and bloody reenactments of naval battles. When you look up at the stands, it doesn’t take much imagination to hear the deafening roar of the crowds or to picture the fierceness on display.

I almost got pickpocketed !

I almost got pickpocketed ! good thing my pouch was attached with a chain. Very crowded and too many people allowed in at once so it was almost impossible to really see anything. It seems making lots of money is the only thing that the people that run the place care about. Skip the Colosseum or at the very least book a small tour and skip the line.

The Colosseum and the Roman Forum area are interesting, but crowded. In some ways taking the suburban train out to Ostia Antica, the old port for Imperial Rome, is better as itthe layout is clearer, though you are under the flightpath of Fiumicino Airport.

Disgusting, the ticket site and booking.com, changed times and all three tickets at the same time, tired to communicate with both sites, no joy wasted hundreds of dollars, way too many people booked for every second of the day, it is too chaotic, I nearly flew home to Australia, that's how bad the service was their and booking.com, you didn't answer or help. By far the worse tour

Overall, our 2 night stay was ok. We didn’t spend much time in the apartment. Good location next to transportation links, fairly close to the Colosseum, a/c in the living room, kitchen had adequate utensils, perhaps it needs more glasses. Bed was comfortable.

We stayed at the hotel as a bookend to our cruise. So, 3 nights before out cruise, 1 after. The location was wonderful. Near many places for a market, dining, wonderful churches, buses. The Colosseum. The staff was so wonderful. Always helpful, always with a smile. The espressos, the pastries were top notch. One night, the manager told me all about the Roman liquor. It was a great private experience.

Even though it’s not in a premium location, it’s very convenient and lively, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and close to the Colosseum and Termini station. The Monti area and other important landmarks in Rome are also nearby. The room was spacious and clean, with nice touches like slippers, toothpaste, and a toothbrush - just like in higher-end hotels. It was tidy and partly renovated, offering great value for the price.

The spacious apartment had two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms and a nice, well appointed kitchen with many amenities. We were within easy walking distance of bus stops and metro stations in a safe neighborhood with layers of security to our front door. Very handy to have a grocery store and cafe across the street! The colosseum is about a 25 min walk from the apartment. We especially appreciated our kind and accommodating host! He was always ready to help and answer our questions. You really can’t go wrong with this rental!

The FaMa rental was perfect for our stay in Rome. We are a family of 6: 2 adults and 4 children and stayed 2 nights. The rental was in a quiet neighborhood, but close to restaurants, grocery, landmarks, etc. The hosts were very attentive and kind, the apartment was clean and well-kept. The park across from the rental is a gem in bustling Rome-it was such a peaceful, beautiful park and led you right to the Colosseum. We are so happy we chose FaMa for our stay!
