The unique athmosphere, the luxury mixed with down to earth vibe and most of all : lovely personelle. This is one of those hidden gems that will stick to you. I tell everybody about this place who are going to Sicily. The wine cellar is cooled by the natural temperature there, built into the rocks. The restaurant has amazing food. They have two tame foxes😍 All day long you can hear to boulder from mother Etna, and we were lucky to see lava eruption when we were there in July. I also think this place is wonderful in any season. All the details makes you wonder around, hammocks outside. Fresh food and snack. It’s up in the mountain so the air is fresher than on the beach. I loved it here- I loved the energy. I really got to relax.

Well , it’s my third time at Monaci . I’m just in love with that place . With the tranquility, wonderful big , beautiful rooms ( I stayed at villa ) the pool with the fantastic view. The food was amazing , just no words more to say . Very good breakfast served outside , all organic. I’m highly recommend to visit a Monaci . You will love it like me

We stayed at rifugio Sapienza specifically to climb Mt Etna. Our room was lovely, comfortable and you could tell it catered for tourists well. It had a great vibe and was well set up with food areas, toilets, car parking and information spots. We were very pleased to have stayed there as.our tour was so close to our accommodation, but it was just a great place to be.

    I made straight for the Rifugio Sapienza hotel there right...

    I made straight for the Rifugio Sapienza hotel there right next to the Cable car to Mount Etna. I was glad I did it, avoided an early morning drive up. But the hotel was not a place to get some sleep... Was a pretty LOUD and full of mountain bikers who stayed up late and got up early and were LOUD! :)

    A wonderful place to stay if you are in the area of the Etna. This place had fairytales vibes and the people from the hotel were really friendly. You can also have diner in the restaurant and the food is good.

    The apartment was really comfortable with a cool retro 60s Italian style. It is very close to all the restaurants, so in a very convenient location and perfect for visiting Etna. The owner was very helpful and even gave me a lift up to Etna, which was very kind as I hadn't hired a car.

    Excellent location on Mt Etna right in the lava field. We were given a money-off voucher for the nearby Rifugio Sapienza restaurant for an evening meal, which was walking distance from the hotel (at the bottom of the cable car up Etna). Very good selection for breakfast. Used the spa - sauna, steam room and jacuzzi (which we had to pay for as we had booked via Booking.com, no charge if booked direct!)

We were given a complimentary lunch voucher for our visit to Etna. I would happily stay again

    We had a fantastic stay at Gio's beautiful apartment and had the honour of being his 100th guests! The place exceeded our expectations. It was spotless clean and everything was well taken care of. Even the fridge was full of food! The location is lovely, very close the high street and a perfect spot if you want to drive to Etna. Thank you Gio for making our stay so memorable!

    Of all the apartments I encountered on my travels in Italy, this one was by far the best, well cleaned and most comfortable one. I felt instantly at home. The location is very nice and close to the etna. On top of this, the host was extremely friendly and spoke pretty fluent English. Would go there again anytime.
