Roman Forum

More palace than museum, El Prado is a true cultural treasure trove. Its hallowed halls hold one of the world’s finest collections of European art, from the fantastical figures of Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights to the dark, twisted beauty of Goya’s legendary Black Paintings. It needn’t cost the Earth either – in the evenings entrance is usually free.

Be prepared for a long walk. It is worth it.

Be prepared for a long walk. It is worth it. Make sure you have water with you, as there is very little shade, and in summer it gets very hot. The day we went, it was 40 degrees celsius. From here you can easily walk to the Coliseum, but make sure that you have prebooked tickets to both

Gone are the days of strolling through the Forum and sitting as the ancients did among the temples and spirits, remains of daily pre-modern life. But if you can take the time to get into the Forum in a quiet, personal way, it is an experience worth having. As a tourism tour, not so much. Try to enjoy ancient Rome quietly and peacefully, on your own with time and space to receive from it.

It was very well located. Near the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Although it was central there was little noise from the city, and quiet in general in the building. It was cleaned every day and it was clean although the shower was clogged and a little rusty. There was a refrigerator and air conditioning that worked well.

A lovely apartment.Spacious, quiet , bright, very clean, with regular room cleaning available if requested. A great lacation, very close to the major attractions such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, archaeological sites, as well as Basilicas and churches. it made for very pleasant walks in the evenings. There are loads of fine restaurants and bars in the area. A safe, secure building.

Lots of space and resonably modern. It was handy having lots of storage for our bags ad clothes. Also the bed was massive. Fantastic location - you can walk to all the main spots (colesseum, trevi, roman forum, river etc)so if you're just looking for location and sleep, it's perfect.

Buy the ticket for Colloseum at the enterence to Forum Romanum and Palatin, you will avoid giant line (3 attractions cost altogether 12 euro)! FAst track ticket for the VAtican Museum is also good idea (we did it), you can buy at the enterence to the St. Peter's Basilic. It is quite expensive, but it helps you to avoid huge line and to see both attractions during one day.
