Breakfast was fantastic and location is excellent too. As a bonus there is local market just asid of the hotel you should not miss if you are interested with local shops etc. Room was very comfortable and quite. Staff are extremely helpful to make your stay unforgettable . Ceiling of breakfast room is amazing yuou feel yourself in the museum :-)

We stayed here for 3 nights in early October. We chose Il Convento based on previous reviews and boy were they right. The property is great but what made our stay so special was the staff. Their friendliness, attention to detail, helpfulness, etc. can't be overstated. Our room on the top floor had a private terrace which we enjoyed at different times of day. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and the breakfast room has beverages and pastries available 24 hours a day. For us, the location in the hectic Spanish Quarter with its many restaurants and shops was ideal to soak up the atmosphere of the old city while it's only a few minutes walk to Via Toledo which is filled with larger shops, is mostly pedestrianized, and close to the funicular which takes you to the top of city to visit the castle and spectacular views. We will definitely return.
