Trevi Fountain

Much to the annoyance of his fellow gods who chose to simply materialise, Oceanus preferred to travel by cumbersome shell-shaped chariot. Constructed in 1762 at the height of the baroque, the Trevi Fountain is one of the world’s most elaborate – and romantic – fountains. The God Oceanus is the fountain’s centrepiece. Swimmers take heed: beware of the vigilant fountain police!

I would suggest to wake up early and arrive to the fountain around 7 am in the morning. You will still find a big crowd of people, but it would be far more pleasant and comfortable than going there later in the afternoon.

    We loved it.

We loved it. We got there just before they closed down the site to visitors but it was very crowded. If you want another view of it, try the store across the street which has large windows to take photos of Trevi Fountain.

    Absolutely overcrowded.

Absolutely overcrowded. We were there on a Friday late afternoon. Took the subway there and walked the rest of the way. We did not want to use the subway in the dark so we decided beforehand to get a taxi or uber back, however, they were charging astronomical prices as they knew we were desperate. We ended up going back by subway.

The fountain is incredible but the crowds ruin the experience. Go very early or later when the crush has died down. Could barely edge our way around the perimeter. The little square up the street to the right of the fountain was fun.

    There's fountains and there's fountains.

There's fountains and there's fountains. Then there's the Trevi Fountain, probably the most beautiful and famous in the world. The sculptures associated with the fountain are simply wonderful. And then there's the famous "bath" taken in the fountain by Anita Ekberg in the movie "La Dolce Vita" . . . A place of pilgrimage for lovers from everywhere.

Great location - right in the city center. The Trevi Fountain was just a 5-minute walk from the apartment, and from there we could easily reach all the other beautiful sights of Rome. The apartment was comfortable, with a nice modern design.

The location of the apartment was very good, walking distance to most popular attractions and shopping. The Trevi Fountain and Pantheon were easy to walk to as well as all the high end shopping and dining options. The location is the main reason to consider this apartment.

Location, hotel’s restaurant impeccable service. We had dinner at the hotel 3 out of 4 nights. Very centrally located for touring. One suggestion do not book a room facing the street, since it is very noisy due to the fact it is a main street leading to the Trevi Fountain which is only 2 minutes away.

The property is excellent. Great location, we were able to walk all the way to Vatican City and make our way back passing several landmarks including the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum. The room itself gives a feel for Italian living, as opposed to a generic hotel. And to make it even more comfortable, the hosts are friendly and welcoming.

It was really clean, the location is perfect -only 2mins walk to Trevi Fountain. The apartment is in a really crowded street. We tought that the street would be noisy but it wasn’t at all. There was free coffee in the room and it was so delicious.

The staff were exceptional; very friendly, helpful, professional, and polite. The room was clean. Breakfast was the same everyday but it was very good, a lot of sweet and savory options. The location was perfect, 5 mins away from the trevi fountain. I totally recommend the hotel and would definitely visit again when in rome

We arrived in a little early and the rooms were not ready but the receptionist offered us to leave our bags (which were subsequently dropped to our room). This is a charming boutique hotel with very a high standard of finish. There was nothing to fault with the size or quality of the room. The rooftop bar is fantastic and provides amazing views across Rome while you enjoy your drink. I would highly recommend this hotel which is located about 20 mins from the Vatican and 20 minutes from the Trevi fountain.
