Elegant and comfortable hotel. Even though it’s bit outside of the main towns it’s a good central location if you are traveling around the Mt. Fuji area. The SPA and the gym is great, the restaurant is very good and the facilities are fantastic. Plenty of parking if you drive your own car.

It was too expensive for one night and there were 3 people in the room. The best thing would have been 2 rooms. But booking couldn't understand me the many times I tried to explain this to them before visiting the hotel. But I was unsuccessful.

Massive apartment. A full family could stay there comfortably. I was lucky enough to have a fifth floor so a spectacular view. I sat in my room for hours looking out the window. The onsen downstairs is open until midnight and really nice. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Lovely staff. The rooms and amenities were fantastic. We had a private Onsen in our room which was the best experience for us. The dinner and breakfast was the best food we've had in Japan.

Loved the location. The service was impeccable. And the food was sublime and delicious. The hotel was a mix of old and new. Fabulous art and furniture. The staff couldn't do enough and suggested that as the firework festival was taking place that evening..we could have dinner earlier and taxi service would be arranged. We especially loved our private onsen overlooking the bay. Can't wait to return. Only an hour from Tokyo!!

    This hotel has been one of the best stays in my life. The ryokan has been a family business for over 100 years, and the couple who own it are extremely helpful and love it. There were two different onsens, which were open at all hours, and they were really relaxing and had everything we needed. The rooms themselves were very traditional, but we had everything that we needed and the owners were very happy to help us in any way. The man drove us to Gora Station twice, which was extremely helpful and kind. We had an incredible time.

    This is the fanciest hostel style hotel I’ve stayed at. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, it’s literally over the road from the Gora station, a close walk to shops and vending machines and restaurants and right in the heart of the Hakone Freepass route. The room was huge, the bed was super comfortable, the amenities and free breakfast were all great. They also make a fantastic fig Mojito that you HAVE to try! Couldn’t recommend it enough.

    We loved it straight away. As already mentioned very big place, but inviting and spotless. Very close to Gora Station and a couple of great restaurants. A very great alternative to a hotel. We had luck and could even get in a little earlier. Communication Perfect and easy with the host.

    Perfect location, 2 min walk from Gora station. The hotel is beautiful inside, large rooms and the staff was very helpful. They offer a welcome drink and snacks. A public onsen is available, and you can book private baths and a bedrock sauna everyday.

    Everything during our stay was perfect, from the staff to the amenities and the room. The location is somewhat away from the city center, but the hotel provides free shuttle services to Gora station. Would surely recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing getaway to the countryside.

    We had a great stay at this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helped us out with all our questions. Both onsens were fantastic, we loved the experience! It's a bit far away from Gora station but the hotel provides a regular free shuttle to Gora so that didn't bother us. There is a lovely bar on site and there were some live concerts during our stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a place to relax and unwind.

    Lovely modern-meets-traditional onsen hotel. The baths were great and came with everything you needed like the yukata, slippers, towel and good quality shampoos, lotions, etc. Enjoyed the free snacks and drinks too. The breakfast was decent. Easy access from Gora station which was appreciated at the end of a busy day doing the Hakone loop.

    As a hostel it was pretty quiet, they had a rule of no noise beween 10pm-8am and most guests appeared to respect this. The toliets were clean. The staff were upbeat and friendly. The location was good as less than 5 min walk from Gora station.

    Very nice Rakoyan with private onsen. We asked to change breakfest to more western, and they tried their best. Great public onsen in the hotel. The nearest station in Hakona circle is Gora station. So my recomendation is to start from Gora.
