AustraliaA beautiful and cozy hotel you can relax in. The room in the main building was large, quiet, and had a lovely view. The tearoom / bar area is a perfect spot to relax. The restaurants on premises are lovely. You will need a reservation for meals, I had no issues booking these on the day. The gift shop has great souvenirs.

United KingdomThe attention to detail of the staff was exceptional. Staying in such a lovely traditional apartment with modern amenities was a very enjoyable experience. The breakfast, traditional Japanese in style, was tasty. The location was good, only a ten minute walk to stations and most main attractions. Would highly recommend it if you want to stay somewhere special.

You might want to go to Himuro Shrine (氷室神社) for a quieter location to admire the cherry blossoms (during spring) and to feed the deer with less competition from other tourists! Is very busy and packed with tourists in peak season. The deer closer the entrance are very aggressive so will charge you and bite your clothes to get biscuits. Go further up the park to get some peace and quiet and meet calmer deer. Also, some tourists will feed wrappers and ice cream to the deer thinking it is funny. We woke up to sights of deer wandering right in the vicinity outside the hotel. The staff here were particularly lovely and we experienced safe to say the best service of our whole trip to Japan at this hotel. The dinner and breakfast were extremely tasty and though there wasn't any washing facilities on the premises the hotel staff were very helpful in recommending a coin laundry store very close to the hotel.
