The room layout (western style) and the service were excellent for family. Friendly english speaking front desk staff made check in and out a breeze.

Didn't expect that there would be coffee, tea, juice, wine and pastries at the lobby so it made waiting very comfortable. We were able to check in even if it was just 30 mins earlier. Pajamas were a nice touch.

Perfect location for a stay during a conference at Kyoto University, with easy bus access. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Very nice, clean, and spacious room, plus a lovely hot spa. Highly recommend — we have stayed at this hotel chain several times.

Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo is ideally set in the centre of Kyoto, and features a garden, free WiFi and a restaurant.
