On top of a Hill, with beautiful view to Utoro City.
There's a large lobby with snacks, tea, coffee so after returning from a day excursion, we always spent 30min relaxing at lobby.
There's a nice shop with many souvenirs.
Onsen was amazing and clean. Many different tubs with different temperatures. Ice cream and pocari sweat available.
We didn't have breakfast included but we pay extra for a day and the buffet was simply delicious. Many options and everything we tried was excellent.

The location is perfect with amazing viewing spots for sunrise and sunset less than a 10min walk away. It’s always nice and warm so if you’re there in winter it’s great to pop back and defrost after exploring. The smells from the café walking in are absolutely delicious and the food is wholesome and tasty. Given a lot of Japanese accommodation can be quite cramped for space, this was a palace! There was an exceptional buffet breakfast which helped fuel us for hiking at Shiretoko National Park. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and used translation apps where there were any English language gaps. The onsen area was very big and relaxing.
